“Once you stop learning, you start dying.” — Albert Einstein

One of the best ways to learn a new skill is by doing it. I have an academic background in Software Engineering and Computer Vision, but most of my knowledge in these fields were acquired with practical projects.

When we are developing an application that will be deployed to the market and used by a lot of people, many more challenges need to be solved, forcing us to learn and develop new knowledge that we didn’t have before.

Where to find excellent learning content online

If you like to learn by practicing, there is an excellent blog that publishes new tutorials every week about deep learning and computer vision: pyimagesearch blog. These tutorials are very straightforward and usually tackle very interesting and practical problems.

The author of the blog is Adrien Rosebrock, and he has also written several books and online courses on these topics. I have already read some of his books, and I think they are great. I really enjoyed reading them because he explains what usually would be difficult concepts to grasp, with practical examples and in an easy to understand way.

I hope this helps to improve your computer vision and deep learning knowledge.

If you have any questions about developing and deploying computer vision and deep learning applications that can be used by millions of users, feel free to check my blog at https://vitorpedro.com and to contact me!
